Expanding Clover’s Web Dashboard with seamless wallet and prepaid card features — transforming business users into empowered financial operators.
GOAL:
To design and integrate a white-label digital wallet experience into Clover’s existing web dashboard. The goal was to enable users to manage wallet functions such as deposits, withdrawals, prepaid cards, and transaction history, all within a single, familiar interface.
Clover is widely known for its physical POS devices, but its web dashboard, the Virtual Terminal was due for a smarter, more integrated money movement experience. We were brought in to expand the platform into a true financial command center for merchants. Our team led the UX/UI design of wallet functionality directly into the web dashboard, bridging transactional features with real-time visibility and control.
For businesses that manage payments remotely, Clover’s web interface offers an intuitive alternative to hardware-based checkout. But beyond basic invoicing and card entry, users needed access to advanced financial tools like managing wallet balances, tracking transaction history, viewing card usage, and accessing payout activity. Our goal was to expand this experience with clarity, control, and ease, without overwhelming the user.
The main challenge was extending a complex fintech infrastructure into an interface traditionally used for quick transactions. We had to balance power with simplicity, ensuring that business users could easily understand balances, funding flows, and card behaviors, without feeling like they were navigating a banking portal. UX clarity, transparency, and a strong information hierarchy were essential, especially in areas like transaction history, ACH transfers, prepaid card management, and wallet activity.
We redesigned the Clover Web Dashboard’s financial section to behave like a modular wallet system, intuitive for first-time users, yet powerful for merchants with complex needs.
The enhanced dashboard included:
Streamlined deposit and withdrawal flows
Clear visualizations of wallet balances and transaction activity
Prepaid card features, including PIN view, freeze/unfreeze, and card replacement
Integrated wallet activity timeline with filtering and export
Unified transaction history across methods (ACH, card, QR, etc.)
Responsive layouts optimized for desktop usage in office settings
We also implemented a clean visual hierarchy and consistent design tokens to ensure a scalable, white-label-friendly solution.
